Recently, I saw a YouTube Short where Salma Hayek was talking with Chelsea Handler about her marriage.
She said that it was the most important accomplishment in her life along with having a healthy family.
Chelsea asked her what the secret was to a successful marriage and Salma paused before she answered.
But her answer was remarkable.
She said whenever a challenge arises, they focus on finding the solution. They don't focus on who is to blame.
It's them versus the problem.
Folks, that is such a powerful practice.
It is easy to look at your spouse, blame them for their mistake or bad choice, make them feel bad and fight them.
I have certainly been guilty of this.
However, if your goal is to spend the rest of your life with this person and have a happy and healthy marriage, you won't make it very long before bitterness and resentment creeps in.
You and your spouse are a team. It's you two versus the challenges that lie ahead.
Keep this in mind if you want longevity and love in your marriage.
Until next time...
