"All the good men/women are already picked". "There are no good men/women left". "These guys/girls are all a waste of my time". "All men/women are the same."
Do these statements or thoughts sound familiar?
Isn't it also interesting that both men and women are saying the same thing?
Quite often, I will view various YouTube videos that are focused on the topic of dating or marriage. I aim to read as many comments as I can in the comment section before the video ends, and it is fascinating that there will be seemingly an equal number of men and women who are complaining about the lack of quality partners of the opposite sex.
In general, men will say, "I'm fit and healthy. I make a decent living. I'm a hard worker. I try or have tried dating with little to no success. I'm so tired of being passed over due to women only seeking the top 1 to 10% of men. These women are so shallow, ran through, and not even worth my time. So I'm done wasting my time, and I'm just going to focus on myself."
In general, women will say, "I just want a smart, hardworking, strong man that is willing to take the lead. My standards aren't even that high. These men want to split the bill if I do go on a date. I take care of my body, and I'm feminine. These men out here are just not mature and I give up. I'm just going to focus on me."
The sexes are essentially saying the same thing.
So if both sides are saying the same thing, then what is actually happening?
To the man or woman saying that all the good picks are gone, I'll be blunt.
You don't determine whether you are one of the "good ones" on the dating market. The market determines that. Someone determines you are one of the good ones by marrying you. On top of that, the good ones are out there; they just don't want you.
Women make the mistake of believing they are quality simply because they get male attention or men sleep with them.
Men make the mistake of believing they are quality simply because women sleep with them or because they have access to a lot of resources.
Just food for thought...
